PRICING

Investing in documentation is a hefty decision, so here’s the gist.

I keep things simple with a base cost that I customize with care, depending on what you’ve got up those tasteful sleeves. Pricing shifts with the size and scope of your celebration. That might mean longer coverage, extra days, faraway places, or anything that requires more orchestration. We adjust accordingly.

Common customizations include additional coverage (rehearsal party, etc.), instant film, Super 8 home movie, hybrid coverage (digital + film), and travel.

“Working with Alexa was one of the first (and easiest) decisions I made during the wedding planning process…She checked in thoughtfully throughout the lead up to wedding day. She collaborated with my planners, who were very new to the industry so her input and experience was invaluable. She was an absolute joy to work with in every regard.

Beyond that, she’s an incredible artist! She captured whimsy and romantic outdoor scenes. She worked with weather challenges to produce photos even more beautiful than any of my Pinterest vision boards could fathom. I’ve only received the wedding day previews (we’re freshly post-wedding day and she sent the previews soooo quickly) and am dying to see the rest, but truthfully even if the previews were all of the photos we had, that would still be worth every penny. I’m so happy with my decision to bring Alexa and Alex into our wedding day!”

Clara & Jonathan, Google Review

“…we cared most about photography, music and tattoos. Alex & Alexa at Superlove Film were a dream to work with. They shoot everything on film (with digital backups, of course), made us feel incredibly comfortable, and, not to mention, are so incredibly talented.

Beyond making our vision come to life, they have such a unique perspective of their own, and it made the entire process so special. Everyone in the wedding party (plus guests generally) was obsessed with them, and the entire night, they just felt like part of the group. We could not be happier with the end result and to have such amazing friends in them.”

Process in Practice

Approach

I do my best to merge creativity and journalism into a single craft, which is something that ebbs and flows depending on each couple and each event. Some couples love to get crazy and strange in the artistic approach, and others lean into the honest documentation of their event. I can lean into either, or both.

At any rate, it’s important to know that I’m not a wedding factory. I get to know each and every person I work with, because knowing you better helps me do a bang-up job when it’s go-time.

Photography and videography help us savor our present moments; moments that shape us, and moments which we might have forgotten otherwise. We often romanticize our memories. Photography is the time machine that brings us back to them.

P.S. Because I give my full attention (and sometimes muscle damage) to your lovely shenanigans, I only book 10 weddings per year. By keeping my number of bookings manageable, I’m able to operate at my best, which is what you deserve.

Booking/Planning/Beyond

First, peruse this website and get familiar with the work you see. Linger on, friend.

Second, I’d be pleased as punch to hear from you. Send me a message here and schedule a video call to say hello and get to know each other. I’m eager to hear about your wild and wonderful plans, dirty deets and all.

Third, after our call together, I’ll send you the booking documents (which entails an invoice, contract, and payment plan). Each package can be paid for in a variety of payment plans depending on the shape and size of your event.

Lastly, once the contract is signed + retainer paid, your wedding date is booked! I will periodically touch base during the planning process to stay aligned on your plans together. I’m happy to extend planning skills if you need, but either way I’ll be prepared to show up and do a damn good job.
