My passion for storytelling is rooted in documenting my own life.
For me, that means shooting exclusively on analog cameras since it’s the closest thing to... well, the real thing. I use the same cameras to document my own life (like the Canon AE-1 in the photo on your right).

I love our gear and film like family, but unlike family, I have favorites. I’ll usually reach for the reliable Canon 1V, Contax point-and-shoot, or Polaroid SX-70. My go-to film stocks are anything that looks good in whatever light I’m shooting in. You can always count on me to have the good stuff: Kodak Portra, Ilford B&W, and an array of others.

Most of the time, people don’t even realize I’m taking their photo because I take on a calm, observant approach. I focus on moments as they unfold naturally and give gentle direction only when needed, so even the shyest guests can feel comfortable and seen without being put on the spot.

working together?
It’s important to know that I shoot what I see. Sometimes I set things up, but most of the time it’s a truly candid take on the day. Nothing beats the kid nephew picking their nose, a bridesmaid falling in a pool, a teary exchange between exuberant mothers.
Don’t worry about looking editorial or fancy. Every couple you see on this website told me “We don’t look good in front of the camera.” I beg to differ. I enjoy capturing people in their moments of profound honesty, and if you gander my portfolio you can see the evidence. Your Asheville wedding will look just how you want to remember it.

Send an inquiry
You’re ready to reserve your wedding photography, you’ve seen the work, and you know this is it. Send me an inquiry to get the conversation going and I’ll send you my full pricing guide. From there, we’ll set up a Zoom call to review the packages and decide which one works best for your fabulous plans.

receive your photos
Your film then gets handed off to Ball Photo, my local, trusted film lab that I’ve partnered with for years. They will process and scan all of your images, and when I receive everything back, each image will be meticulously edited until they’re done up just right. You’ll receive a handful (30+) preview photos in a digital gallery a few weeks after your wedding, and the full gallery 8-10 weeks afterwards.

reserve your date
To reserve your wedding date, a 20% retainer and signed contract by you and your partner is needed. Once both are complete, bing-bang-boom! Your wedding photography has been reserved and you can get back to planning the rest of your wedding.

Prior to your wedding, we’ll keep in touch about your plans and set up planning consultations as we need them. On the day of your wedding, I’ll show up with my army of vintage film cameras and more film than I can shoot. I’m your third set of eyes and hands, and at the end of the evening, you’ll flip through a massive stack of Polaroids as your first peek at your wedding photos.

Sure do! I know documentation is a huge investment, so all packages are set on a payment plan. You can pay in 2, 4, 6, 12, or however many payments you want - as long as you’re fully paid up before the wedding, you’re good to go.
